Pros
Great graphics, Awesome online, lots of online, game review, weapons, hardly any camping. Destruction 2.0
Cons
The campaign is just fair; Movement and controls can be a little tricky.
Introduction
This is the sequel to Dice's widely popular Bad Company Franchise. The games offer plenty of action, witty remarks, Great action scenes, and plenty, game review, of destruction. With the introduction of Destruction 2.
0 however, things were turned up a notch, rather than just blowing walls out of buildings, you can now take down entire houses. It makes the online/campaign fun and challenging.
Gameplay
First of all, I will not be, game review, comparing this game to Modern warfare 2. This is a review, not a comparison.
The first thing many gamers' do when, game review, they bring home a game is to try the campaign a little bit. When you start this campaign, you may be a little confused, The first mission takes place in World War 2, now you might be wondering, game review, what this time era has to do with the whole campaign and all, but they tell you fairly quickly why, It involves some weapon of mass destruction The Japanese had made in The Great war.
I said that the campaign is not to great, but the story is, I really enjoyed the story although gameplay was slow at times, Battlefield: Bad Company 2 really delivered when it came to story, and action scenes, at some parts throughout the campaign, you are the minigunner of a UH-60 Blackhawk, others have you flying a UAV to make the town ahead safe, or driving tanks throughthe countryside. There was one mission which I really loved,, game review, it had you running from house to house trying to avoid frostbite, and it was a fun mission, which I am glad they implemented into the game.
The controls are different then most shooting games though, RT or R2 is to knife, LT or L2 is to throw a grenade, but you get use to the controls pretty, game review, quickly. The movement is slow, but you get use to that too, and it's not always slow, it only seems to be slow when you really want to turn around fast to shoot some enemy.
The online game has you traversing Snowy, game review, or Sandy battlefields, destroyed cities, and towns yet to be destroyed. What makes this game really fun however, are the vehicles; you can fly Blackhawks, MIL MI-28, game review, Havoc's MIL MI-24 Hind's And an AH-64 Apache.
Aside from the helicopters, you can also drive Tanks, Humvee's, All Terrain Vehicles, Attack Boats, and Sea-Doo's. They, game review, are all really fun to drive around in, but I prefer, game review, the Helicopters the most.
The ranking system Battlefield: Bad Company 2 works really well. You must gain points for each kit you use; there are 4, Assault, Engineer, Medic, and Recon. As you may have guessed, the assault class use's Assault Rifles, the Engineer class use's Submachine guns, and the Recon class use's, game review, Sniper Rifles.
Gaining Points for a specific class will get you weapons, gadgets,, game review, and specializations fro that class. You also rank up though, there are, game review, 50 levels, and each time you rank up you gain a pistol, a shotgun,, game review, or a rifle for use with all of the kits.
The classes work, game review, together really well online, and you can't have your squad of four all being the Recon class, or all engineers, because you need ammo from the assault, game review, class, you need health and revives, game review, from the medic class, and you need engineers to take out enemy vehicles.
They all work together very well, and it is recommended that you have one in each squad.
Graphics/Audio
This game has awesome graphics, they are much better than the originals, and they are up pretty high for the most recent games released as well. You can make out the fibres on gloves and everything overall, the landscape, the vehicles and the people fighting in it look awesome.
The sound in Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is awesome, when you first turn on the game and hear the explosions, you can tell that Dice did a wonderful job with the sound in this game,, game review,, game review, it is very clear, crisp and precise.
