The Controls

For firing in Wii, B button is the default setting. You should get yourself, game review, acquainted with this since it is the most important button of all. The Z button is for looking down which is also crucial. Toggling between stances is the C button and A is for sprinting and strafing, when you are stationary, game review, . All of the controls not mentioned here have the same functions as with the other games.
The Common Weapons
World at War is never as exciting as it is without the weapons being used by the gamers when they are playing.
Check out the list below to know the most common weapons used;
M1A1 Carbine - this is the weapon issued to the US Marines during the World War II. It is the better version of M1 Garand which is a lethal, one-shot one-kill weapon, game review, .
M2 Flamethrower - one of the most effective weapons to infiltrate canon troops during the WWII. Though, it requires really close distance but the fear, game review, of being burned is what keeps the enemies running away from it.
M82A1 Barret.50 Cal - is a sniper rifle effectively used to eliminate enemies from a distance.
Effective, game review, enough to be used to eliminate gunner from a bunker.
Bayonets - at the peak of the war, game review, when supplies do not come to the aid of the soldiers, bayonets are the most helpful aid to defend themselves or eliminate enemies in a face to face combat.
There are other weapons not mentioned but are also as helpful as the ones stated above. You should get, game review, yourself used to using them as you can expect to be able to use them during your games.
Undoubtedly, Call of Duty 5: World at War is the best that Wii can offer nowadays when it comes to graphics, audio, intensity and excitement.
The characters are fully geared, game review, that they look, game review, so realistic and move smoothly on screen.
In a nutshell, even if the story goes back to the peak of the Second World War, the game is really worth-playing for today!

PSP Games Download - Crystal Defenders For PSP
Tower Defense games have had a jump,, game review, game review, in popularity over the last, game review, year with the next generation consoles having several versions available via their respective stores. Today we look at one from Square Enix, a developer famous for their fantasy based role playing games. Crystal Defenders was first made available on the iPhone and iPod and the PS3 version is set to become a big seller particularly as it is much in the same style as one of the stores biggest sellers - PixelJunk Monsters.
There, game review, are three ‘versions’ of Crystal Defenders available to the gamer - the W1 version is a straightforward take in which you will learn the majority of the enemies as well as learning the base classes and how to manage your money between rounds. Just like other tower, game review, defense games you are given a bonus depending on how many crystals you have left in your base. W2 is a slightly different version as it introduces Power Crystals which, game review, can be dropped near your units to give them more speed, attack range and power.
W3 is the ultimate test as it combines all the previously learned tactics and throws a ridiculous amount of bad guys onto the screen to obliterate you. Crystal Defenders is just what you would expect a Square Enix version of a tower defense game to look like. You are presented with an array of fantasy style characters to plonk, game review, on the playing fields, ranging from close, game review, up warriors to long distance mages and archers. Just to spice things up, you are able to use some, game, game review, review, of your crystals to magically cast a number, game review, of Final Fantasy style creatures to damage everything on screen, game review, and to add enhancements to your units.
These are a last resort attack however only to use when all else is failing. The maps are not that varied as you get a standard map system to learn the enemies and to keep the movement path simple, and an advanced path which has more, game review, directional forks in the road to make matters more complicated. All in all you get a total of twelve maps, game review, which I guess is acceptable... if a little limited. Crystal Defenders is not the standard style of tower defense game, because the difficulty level is extremely high.
I played the game for 2 hours, game review, before I experienced any kind of success with the first level and it really is a game, game review, of trial and error - tactics are massively important in completing the levels. You earn points on how many crystals you have left as well as your money resources and how many waves you managed to successfully complete (from a total of thirty with a boss level, game review, at the end). So how does it play? It is a fantastic game marred slightly by the developers high demands for tactics.
This is not a game you will win by simply placing a few upgraded warriors and archers in key positions. It ends up an in-depth game of various tactics (and failing!) as you try and ascertain the means necessary to defeat the next wave. This is not to say it is not massively addictive, it is - but the demands for learning the tactics are so high that many casual gamers will just lose interest after getting their ass handed to them for the first hour. Once I worked out a few tactics to get past the first few stages I was frustrated by my own inadequacies,, game review, but the feeling of victory after beating the boss was so rewarding I almost put my foot through the screen in joy.
Comparing it to Pixeljunk Monsters I can not help but feel that Crystal Defenders might fail commercially because of the insanely difficult challenges placed upon the player from level to level, but I am confident that it will be an acquired taste that a core group of players will adore., game review, Graphically there is nothing extraordinary about the design, however the character design is solid and the little touches add to the feeling of a fantasy world created by Square Enix. The animation is minimal and fast forwarding the action gives a Benny Hill kind of experience.
Even the frame rate seems low which, game review, would tie in with the handheld phone market origins. Crystal Defenders is a massively addictive, game review, downloadable game which may prove to be too much of a challenge to the mass market gamer who will surely lose interest long before he gets addicted - hook, line and sinker. For those of you reading this with more patience and the tendency to love a true fantasy environment then this deserves a purchase - you will spend a lot of time cursing the developers, but it will be immensely hard to put down the controller.

Kelly Green Garden Queen Full Review
Kelly Green Garden Queen has done a great job at blending time management game play, such as Diner Dash or Hotel Dash,, game review, and mixed it together with the popular farming, game review, game play style introduced in such games as Ranch Rush and the Farm Frenzy game series.
You start off the game by being introduced to Kelly. While Kelly likes to fancy herself as a city girl,, game review, game review, that loves to cook, her life takes a new twist when she learns that she has just inherited her grandparents gardening nursery.
This starts Kelly's adventure as she plants her way through 50 action packed levels spanning four seasons.
At the beginning of each level, Kelly is allowed to shop for the necessary supplies she will need to complete the day's work which include seeds for the various flowers and plants that she will grow then, game review, finally sell to her clients and nursery upgrades such, game review, as better equipment and larger planning areas. Kelly can also purchase items that, game review, will make Kelly's customers more patient and happier with her services such as, game review, lemonade and bouquet items.
After her shopping is complete, the day will begin with customers arriving roadside to place their orders plus customers placing,, game review, game review, orders over the phone.
To satisfy each customer, Kelly will need to grow the plants and flowers requested by the customer, plus in later levels, Kelly will be introduced to taking care of cows so she can offer milk and butter to her clients. In the more advanced levels Kelly will also be able to offer packed soil and dried flowers for sale which can bring in some large profits.
Along with the services that the nursery offers, keeping, game review, the nursery stocked with flowers, plus managing, game review, the various pests that, game review, can intrude adds a lot of variety to the game. During the game, Kelly will have to address issues such as running out of soil or seeds, dealing with birds, aphids or gophers that will try to make a mess of her plants. Each pest has its own remedy such as scarecrows for the birds, cats for the gophers, etc. Smart upgrades and timely purchases are key to success when dealing with pests.
Kelly Green Garden Queen is a fast paced, time management oriented game. Thinking ahead and planning a strategy is important to take full advantage of Kelly and, game review, her workers skills. The game is visually pleasing and the tasks and characters are varied enough to be engaging right from the beginning. The only part of the game I really didn't care for is the creating of bouquets, but I understand the reason behind that part of the game and really it's very easy to complete.
Overall I give Kelly Green Garden Queen a 5 star rating.
I believe this game will compete head to head with all time management favorites, plus adds enough new twists to make its farming game play fresh and inviting to even the more seasoned gamer.
Give it a try and judge for yourself!

Top Ten Excuses For Playing Computer Games!
Have you ever had to make excuses for playing video games? Certainly when I was younger I had to give all kinds of reasons for wanting new games, or to carry on playing rather than doing something else such as the fabled "tidying of thy room."
I'll bet anyone reading this has been in the same situation and felt the need to explain themselves. When you get older this becomes a game in itself. You start thinking: what kind of excuse can I give now I'm twice the age of the target market for this game?
10: Because if I don't the [insert bad guys here] will conquer, game review, the [insert here kingdom/planet/universe] and I'll never rescue [insert damsel in distress here] which would be really bad!
I've found that if you get into even more detail than this it's even more effective! Girlfriends and wives get exasperated with too much gaming detail and if you're lucky you'll get the "Yeah, whatever - just go play!" response.
You may also get the "Yeah whatever, go, game review, do the dishes anyway!" response but it's worth a shot I always think.
In some ways it was easier when I was younger. Older games, being less sophisticated and without quick disc access made it easier to give valid excuses to carry on playing! Even if for just a bit longer. The most obvious being:
9. I can't save here! I have to get to a save point!
Which was nearly always true. In many, game review,, game review, cases, especially on the Spectrum (my first computer with games), you could never save your game and you had to start from the beginning every time you reloaded or lost.
This, game review, excuse still works today for some titles where, inexplicably you can't quick save at any point. Nintendo, game review, are still buggers for this and are unlikely to change their approach for some time.
"Almost" valid excuses don't end there, there are still other ways to try to convince parents or spouse that playing games is a necessity rather than just obvious fun. One of the earliest excuses I remember is:
8. It helps my hand eye co-ordination!
Does it? Does it really? I can't say, game review, I've ever noticed any improvement in myself from playing games.
In fact I often play a little game to see if I can throw a pen in the air, making it spin round and catch it. Often I do it without thinking and work colleagues have started to count how often I manage to catch the pen again. I have an embarrassingly small percentage, game review, of successful catches, so I can't help but disagree with this excuse. Of course I would never admit that to my parents back then, nor my girlfriend today!
I suppose you could argue something similar, something that can be applied to nearly any game these days.
7. It's Educational!
There is actually some element of truth here. For instance, time management games help teach time management, game review, skills, hidden object games help with visualisation and shape recognition, while Grand Theft Auto 4 helps with...um...crime based skills?, game review, Okay maybe not the best example, but what almost every game does help teach is problem solving. It would be hard to argue a case against that, especially if you have kids who are asking for the latest Professor Layton game!
These kind of excuses can be pushed a bit far though.
There's a threshold of acceptability where the receiver of the excuse will see right through your veil of lies. And you can't get more blatant than this...
6. It helps keep me fit!
Which is probably going to become a more common excuse in the future, especially with the popularity of the Wii balance board and the soon to be released "Project Natal" on the xbox. Both have the goal of making the human body more of the controller, Natal more so as it requires no physical, game review, contact with the controller at all.
Unfortunately it's a fact that only a balanced diet and plenty of exercise can get you fit, not a computer game. I'm sure it can help but it's not an excuse that's going to wash with many parents! It's not, game review, that parents don't understand these days, I'm sure! Many parents probably want to get their kids off the console and off to bed so they can play their own games too! In fact that leads to, game review, a whole new area of excuse creativity, game review, .
5. I want to see what all the fuss is about!
Which I have to tell you only works once or twice per game.
Once your wife or girlfriend remembers the name of the game (they'll never remember what it looks like so feel free to lie about that, game review, too) you'll have to give another, more elaborate excuse for subsequent gaming time, game review, .
Luckily I have the answer here, something which I've used well to my advantage before and is almost certain to work at least once. I got the idea from a Dilbert comic (Wally is my Hero!) where they need their boss to make the right decision on a product name.
The method they use is to give the boss two options, one, game review,, game review, good option, game review, and one really, really bad option. The boss obviously wants to feel important and make a management decision so they choose the good option, which, game review, is what the team wanted in the first place rather than days spent discussing it and over analysing it. Therefore I give you this:
4. Would you like to play a multiplayer, game review, game?
Which works fine as, game review, long as you suggest a multiplayer game that they would never ever, game review, want to play.
Gears Of War is good for this, as is WiiPlay if you have either of them. Otherwise anything you're good at and they're not works too.
More than 90% of the time I get the response "No, it's ok - you go and play." Which is obviously the intended response and even better it's their suggestion! There's also a powerful variant of this that is worth, game review, sharing and is even more similar to the 2-choices method mentioned earlier. This is:
3. Shall we or shall I go play for a while?
Obviously if your girlfriend is a hard worker and loves cleaning the house or going out shopping you may have to think more carefully about what the task,, game review,, game review, game review,, game review, is.
For me cleaning the house works very well as it's vary rarely tidy or, game review, even tidy-ish.
There's also a good suggestion for everyone co-habiting with either their wife, girlfriend or even their families. Something, game review, I've started using this year, cleverly disguised, game review, as a New Years Resolution. It would probably work even better for people immune to the previous two reasons, game review, and it's to do with scheduling! This year I don't want to let any of my commitments slip, so I devised a schedule for each evening to make sure I spent the right amount of time on each.
It's worked out very well for the previous two weeks and I expect it will continue to work,, game review, but it had an interesting side effect. Here is my schedule:
Monday - iPhone programming (I'm writing more apps this year!
Tuesday - blog and article work
Wednesday - Finish this week's review
Thursday - Wedding Planning(1hr min) and iPhone programming (1 hr min)
Friday - Decide on next review game, Date night with girlfriend
Saturday - Friends/Family visits
Sunday, game review, - Day off for anything (usually more review time!)
It's not set in stone and if I ever manage to do this full time it will certainly change, but that's how it's worked generally so far! So when it came to Wednesday night, where my girlfriend is usually at college I was able to say.
..
2. It's, game review, review/gaming night!
How can you argue with a well-defined schedule! Well,, game review, quite easily as it turns out, game review, - but at least, game review, you can play guilt, game, game review, review, free that you'll meet all your other commitments as well as having something to look forward to every week!
And that's almost it, those are all the clever and not so clever excuses I really know of. I know the last one is kind of boring and negates the point of playing games rather than doing real life important things.
And I don't want to ruin the whole thing with some kind of "Internet addiction is a real thing!" warning, so I won't. Then maybe the simplest of excuses, and the most childish or stubborn of all is the greatest of excuses:
1. Because I want to!
Thank you Billie Piper...
Other more specific, game review, options, game review,, game review, exist of course; such as "Because I run a gaming blog" (hehe) and "Because I'm writing a game, I need inspiration." This means that you then have to prove it by creating and contributing to the blog, which is more work than it probably looks!
Perhaps the point here is that if we need to make excuses for games they're not as important as other things in life? Maybe we should all stop and take a look at the wonderful world we live on in all it's splendour and reflect on the beauty that surrounds us all.
..
...Just as soon as I've completed this level...

Flight Pro Sim :A Complete Review
One is the flight simulation genre competitive development, game review, in this area is, game review, extremely difficult, if new entrants access to this dog eat dog scene is exciting to see how it is fair. We see the US latest flight simulation game on the market is Flight Pro Sim, game review, . Flight Pro Sim uses 3D and 2D graphics in the views within the planes and helicopters, game review, cockpits, it also uses a mixture of still maps from Google(Google maps), and 3D objects for the environments.
The overall visual package of the Flight Pro Sim is quite impressive, some of the well known landmarks are excellent, however some of the random high rise buildings are slightly less inspiring, but to be honest most, game review, flight simulators, game review, games are like this. I do prefer game, game review, play to graphics to be perfectly honest, but this does tick both boxes for me, all things said I feel that the graphics defiantly hold their own even with the current competition and because of this I'm hooked.
Click Here For Flight Pro Sim Instant Access Now! Flight Pro Sim is in a class of it's own when we start talking about it's features, there is such a vast amount of aircraft and helicopters to choose from all with different controls and react exactly, game review, how they should do. All of them are spot on in detail as the originals which makes me want to salute the developers for their hard work and what I would expect took weeks of research in. Not to forget the mention of the amazing amount of airports, cities, unique structures, and landmarks there are all with breath taking results which defiantly gives the more well known competitors a run for their, game review, money.
As an added bonus Flight Pro Sim is the online component in it which has been expertly, game review, implemented, there are several elements within this area. Two that stood out in the online mode were formation flying and chatting, which to be honest I thought were put together brilliantly. However the only downside was that it wasn't very busy online which is probably due, game review, to it being such a new product, I am fully confident that in the growing weeks and months when more buy this product it will.
Included in the Flight Pro Sim package are free updates which ensures that there is a constant stream of content which compliments the package more. Click Here For Flight Pro Sim Instant Access Now! Flight Pro Sim Review The flight simulation genre is a highly competitive one, with several notable series. It’s also an exceedingly difficult genre to develop for, so it’s always interesting to see how, game review, well new entrants to the genre fare. This Flight Pro Sim review will do just that, shedding light on this newest flight simulation game.
We’ll kick off this Flight Pro, game review, Sim review with a look at the game’s graphics. FPS uses a mixture of Google Map stills, and 3D objects for the environments, and both 2D and 3D for the various plane’s cockpits. Being an old-school gamer, familiar with some of the earliest flight simulation games, and games in general, graphics are not something I put a great emphasis on, but their importance in flight simulations is greater than it is in some other genres, so I tried to give it a critical look for this Flight Pro Sim review.
That said, I think the graphics hold up well with the current competition. The interiors and exteriors of planes look particularly impressive, and the environments are also breathtaking at times., game review, If there’s one point of contention I must make, it’s that the 3D models don’t always mesh well with the still images. Some of the models for notable structures can be quite impressive, but the ones used to depict random high-rises or towers can leave something to be desired. All in all, I walked away from this Flight Pro Sim review quite impressed with the visual package.
The features front is where FPS really shines through, and actually dominates, game review, its more well-known competition. There’s an absolutely mind-boggling amount of aircraft, airports, unique structures, landmarks, and areas to explore. It begs the question of how the developers, game review, pulled off such an, game review, impressive, game review, feat, as the game truly does trounce, game review, the competition, while still maintaining a high level of quality. Another important aspect of flight sims is their physics engines and controls, and here to I walked away impressed with what the developers were able to do.
Each different type, game review, of aircraft controls differently, and exactly like you would expect them to, and different models within each aircraft type also have their own unique quirks and subtleties. Lastly, I had the chance to check out the online component of the game for this Flight Pro Sim review, and found it to be expertly implemented. There are several additional gameplay, game review, elements possible in the online mode, including chatting, formation flying, and more. While there weren’t, game review, yet many people playing online, this will surely rise in the coming weeks and months, especially if the game continues to sell as well as it has thus far.
A final important note to, game review, consider is that FPS comes with, game review, free updates, of which there have already been several. This ensures a steady stream of new content on a consistent basis, which adds even greater value to the package, game review, . I was very impressed with FPS on many different levels. I was somewhat sceptical before playing it, but as I got into the game, game review, for the purposes of this Flight Pro Sim review, I found that my scepticism was unwarranted.
This is a great game that will appeal to new and veteran flight simulation fans alike. Click Here For Flight Pro Sim Instant Access Now!

Download The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks & review
Download The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks (click link to download game) The latest installment is the Zelda series takes link away from the ocean and puts him in a steam train. This gives a similar experience to sailing, game review, around the land like in Wind Wakers, only this time you are literally on rails. This time you are actually playing as a different character who don’s the green outfit to destroy an ancient demon. The Spirit tower of the land has been destroyed and it’s up to you to restore it along with the spirit tracks that span the land so that everyone can move about the land again.
If you played the previous game (Wind Wakers) then you’ll be right at home as it is identical in terms of movement and combat using the stylus. The Dungeons have a fresh feel in Spirit, game review, Tracks as, game review, the spirit of Zelda is now with you meaning you and can possess knights and then solve puzzles using teamwork. Thanks to her new ability, she is able to teleport, game review, around the dungeons and help Link in a number of other ways. The Game basically has the same mechanic where you go back and forward between the Spirit tower and other destinations to collect Glyphs.
The Glyphs in turn open the land further and allow you to progress. This time though the game does feel a lot more varied which is a pleasant surprise from the wind wakers where there was some repetitiveness (especially in the dungeons). Link also has a new whirlwind ability and uses pan pipes to awaken statues, game review, and summon birds amongst other things. The Pan pipe is operated by blowing into the microphone, game review, on the DSi which is yet another cool way that Nintendo have used the DSi’s unique hardware to enhance the game.
Link also carries a whip which he can use to hit enemies and swing across gaps like Indiana Jones. It really is, game review, a lot of fun to use. Driving the train as you can imagine can get a little tedious at times. Thankfully later on in the game you can walk between locations to, game review, shorten the commute. With a long single player experience (well over 15 hours) and a multiplayer, game review, mode in there as well,, game review, this really is one of, game review, the best games to come out on the DS last year.

Wii Fit Plus Review
I'll admit, I was a little biased against Wii Fit. Although many were raving about, game review, it, some also complained of its, game review, lack of structured workouts. I purchased EA Sports Active, and I received just what I was looking for - 30-day, game review, challenges filled with strict workouts and exercises.
Eventually, though, my curiosity got the better of me, and I wanted in on the fun I had heard about. Wii Fit Plus is all that it promises - it offers fun activities to help get you in shape and lose weight.
Wii Fit Plus is, game review, a game for those looking for fun ways to burn calories and lose weight. It's also for anyone who feels they need to be "tricked" into losing weight by playing a game.
Wii, game review, has a great variety! It offers balance games (it has some new ones that weren't offered on the original Wii Fit, too), as well as Yoga, Strength Training and Aerobics. It would, game review, be difficult to fit all of them into one day/workout, so it offers, game review, a good variety if you're looking to exercise everyday.
There isn't much I didn't like about Wii Fit Plus. It's a bit expensive (you need the Wii's balance board to use this game, so while the game itself is only $20, when bundled with the balance board, you're looking at about $100), especially when compared to some of the other games which don't require other equipment.
What I've heard that others didn't like was the fact that you weigh in everyday, that you're judged with the Body Test every single day. First, it's not necessary, game review, to weigh in every single day, though, game review, it is recommended.
Second, I think it would be smart to use the results to motivate rather than discourage. Yes, if your BMI (Body Mass Index or basically the amount of body fat) places you in the obese range, it will tell you that. Day after day, until you, game review, lose that weight! But this can be a good motivator to lose weight, right?
When, game review, finishing playing this game, I always want to do more, even when I'm tired and sore. Perhaps it's the competitive side of me that wants to beat my previous score (and that of the rest of my family), or perhaps it's just the challenge of getting the hang of each activity, game review, .
Either way, I just want to play it again and again!
The game makes me feel great! Starting each day off with some yoga and cardio, game review, gives, game review, me energy for the rest of the day, and it motivates me to keep on my diet and exercise routines so I can reach my goals.
I recommend this game because I think it works. It's a fun way to burn calories and lose, game review, weight. If it's tough for you to follow along with an aerobic instructor as they count out reps, this game may work for you.
Rather than offer a strict workout filled with repetitive exercises, Wii Fit Plus offers a good variety of fun activities that just so happen to involve moving around and getting your heart rate up. Fun!

eBay is a great place to go for games, sellers can get a top dollars, game review, more than going to a local game shop, so this is a good selection of games can be found. One thing to be careful on eBay are fakes, and games in good condition. In addition, you must wait for your game to arrive and pay the shipping costs, which in turn add to your costs and delays in your excitement to get into the game on a new game. Used PSP games tend to be in good condition, but you still need to be careful on the Internet for counterfeit and damaged goods.
Thankfully, region coding is not a, game review, concern, but to ensure that all purchases made in a language you understand. I took almost a cheap copy of Metal Gear: Portable Ops, before I realized the need to spend a few hundred dollars on a course in Japanese in order to play it. There could be problems if you are dealing with a seller who is not a Power seller and have not been many, game review, sales transactions,, game review, as described above. For a new game (s),, game review, there are also eBay and shops.
Depending on your budget,, game review, you might want some of the latest news in your budget allows. Frustration of auctioning begins to come to us. There was no one else worth going to? We had mixed success elsewhere. While eBay continues to thrive online, some sellers prefer to turn out to sell and websites using similar Amazon.co.uk to sell at a fixed price. The disadvantage is that many of these games are not cheap at all. One of the main reasons that I decided to write this article, is that I have recently found a site that I like to get to the downloadable games and other content.
Not only am I able to download games but also movies, TV shows, music and the list goes on. I tend to prefer it once cost to join and there are, game review, no additional costs for the life of my membership. I've tried a few third-party websites out there that offer games, etc for my PSP, a few times I was bit in the ankles as the computer came down with a virus. I have, game review, also experienced slow download times, go small selection of games, etc and so on. PSP GAME REVIEW - Beaterator Review
Make no mistake:, game review, Beaterator is not a game. It's a stupidly detailed, powerful - yet usable - piece of music-making software. It's impossible to review it like a game. Judging the amount of entertainment the average 'gamer' will get from this is like scoring a drum kit out of ten; you're either an enthusiast or you're not. Instead we're going to look at Beatorator as a normal drum ki... erm, piece of, game review,, game review, music making software. Click Here and Download Beaterator For Free! Beaterator is split into two modes; Live Mode and Studio.
Live mode (which you can see on the left) is a simple-looking freestyle set-up, game review, where you can select a genre of music and then loop eight different tracks - such as drums or synths - on the fly. All the while hip hop extraordinaire, Timbaland - who provides exclusive samples for the game - goes a bit mental in the centre of the screen. This is an easy and inviting mode to get involved with - and it's also, game review, as close to an actual videogame Beaterator gets. Using the d-pad to navigate between tracks and, game review, assigning various drum loops, piano rifts and basslines to the four face buttons is simple, game review, to get to grips with, and you'll soon have a loop going.
Using the R button to switch genres introduces different, game review, musical elements to the tracks, such as secondary, game review, drums and hi-hats for drum and, game review, base, and scary bass rumbles for dub step craft. The number of actual samples, game review, on offer is impressive, though expectedly there's a bias towards hip-hop, house and EDM sounds, with actual instruments taking a back seat. As simple as the Live mode looks though, there's actually a deep and intimidating piece of kit lurking in the background.
With a press of the R button you can switch, game review, samples in and out of the track HUD and even record your session and upload it to the Rockstar Social Club. Studio mode is the real meat of Beaterator - an intimidating screen of techy music stuff where, game review, the simple icons and Timbaland jives are replaced with audio bars and BPM's. It could be argued that - largely thanks to lack of face buttons and screen space - Beaterator, game review, isn't quite as accessible in the studio space as home console efforts such as the excellent MTV Music, game review, Generator series, but it certainly holds its own in features.
For a portable music maker, Beaterator's main mode sports an impressive list of functionality; there's a mixer, a drum crafter, effects editor, vocal recorder, loop crafter, sound recorder, melody machine and more. Rockstar Leeds certainly isn't mucking around. Click Here and Download Beaterator For Free! For the non-hip hop stars of the world these features are backed up by an extensive set of Tutorial videos voiced by Timbaland, game review, himself. They're presented in a slick fashion and are generally useful for getting your head around the dials, though ultimately rookies are unlikely to master the art with videos alone.
Beaterator is a powerful music creator, no doubt, and if you've actually got the ability and patience to put time into it, you could potentially mix up some pretty high quality tunes - and you can export them as Wav, game review, or Midi files. Users are already pumping out some really impressive tunes with the kit on Rockstar's Social Club site, but disappointingly you can't actually access this through the game itself. For legal reasons exporting your own samples onto the Club is also a big no-no, so, game review, forget about unleashing your 'Taz and Beefy' drum and base mix into the public domain.
As far as proper mixers on PC such, game review, as Q Base and Reason go, Beaterator is obviously far short of what could be defined as 'high end', though it won't set you back hundreds of pounds. On PSP though, it fills a fairly large genre gap, providing an accessible and certainly capable music maker for on-the-couch use. And for novices; you never know, it might even introduce you to a great new hobby. Click Here and Download Beaterator For Free!

Gran Turismo PSP game Review
This is Gran Turismo. The big boy. The game that should define PSP. It's been in development for absolutely yonks. Now we've played it extensively we find ourselves wondering what Polyphony has been doing with it since 2004 because this is not at all the game we expected. Despite Kazunori himself proclaiming this to be a "fully-fledged" GT game, GT PSP comes across like a rushed patch job. Let us say this first - the physics are really good. The cars handle brilliantly, they have a solid feeling of weight, game review, and momentum and you can feel this weight move around as you throw cars into bends and put the suspension under strain.
It's easily the most realistic handling we've seen in a PSP driving game, and all this, game review, is done at a silky smooth 60 frames per second which, on the little screen, looks lush. That's why screenshots and trailers had us all excited. But great handling and a smooth frame rate aren't the only important, game review, factors of a racing game, and, game review, GT PSP falls short in almost every other area. The main mode of the game has no structure. Hit the single-player option and you have three modes; the standard Time Trial (with no online leaderboards, we might add), Drift Trial (again, no leaderboards and no set goals), and Single Race.
That's it. In Single Race, you're thrown a grid of, game review, 45 individual races. Nothing, game review, except the race course is pre-determined. The cars you race against are scaled on what car you enter with. So, game review, if you're in a Corsa you'll race Puntos and Fiestas, for example. Join in a Ferrari Enzo and the game breaks out the Lamborghinis and Pegani Zondas. You choose the number of laps - not even that is set - and the difficulty, although only the super-easy Grade D setting is available for each race at first.
When you win a race you get cash with which to buy cars and unlock the next grade for that course only. There are no championships, no trophies and to that end, no sense of achievement. You're just grinding races. Being forced to race the easy grades for each and every, game review, race is bloody infuriating, game review, . That's hours of monotonous play time spent light-years ahead of the pack on an empty course. Click Here and Download Gran Turismo 2009 For Free! Gran Turismo has in the past been criticised for typically allowing you to buy a fast car and race ahead, game review, of the computer.
But at least in previous games you knew what challenge a particular event set you, and you worked, game review, hard to get a car fast enough to beat it. When you won it felt like the reward of your efforts to buy and then upgrade your car with all the fattest turbos and whatnot. But there's no parts-based modification in, game review, here. You can change some gear ratios, tyres and camber settings, but you can't slap on exhaust kits or new air induction kits - like you could in the PSone games that made the GT series so legendary.
In this, you can enter any race with any car (you have to enter mud and snow, game review, courses with a four-wheel-drive car, but that's the only restriction we encountered) and quite easily win, so what's the incentive to buy new cars? Simply put, there isn't one - not outside, game review, of satisfying your own fantasies of getting a car you'll never own in real life. That being the case, you'd think affording that dream Ferrari would take quite, game review, some time and effort., game review, That'd give you something to aim for.
Nope - we rocked out of the game's training mode with almost a million quid and slapped 500k on a bad-ass super car before we'd even done a single race. Hmm, game review, ... The car purchasing system is unique in that not all of the game's 800+ cars are available, game review, to buy at the same time. A seemingly random handful of around five dealers are made available, game review, for each in-game day (days pass each time you race a couple of events), before they disappear to make way for another five the next day.
The whole idea is that you keep your eye out for the car you want until you're lucky enough for it to appear, game review, . We don't like that. When you have nearly a million quid and want to buy a Subaru Impreza for the rally races, it's bloody annoying when it refuses to turn up. Click Here and Download Gran Turismo 2009 For Free! That's essentially what this game boils down to though - it's a collection game. A Pok?on-style, monster hunting, collect-'em-up with 'grinding' disguised as racing, and you're supposed to take satisfaction from needlessly hoarding cars instead of little yellow, pointy-eared monsters.
Then trade them with mates who also want to get every car in the game for no reason. At the very least,, game review, we expected the game's visual production values to be through the roof. But it seems that the silky 60-frames-per-second rate came with, game review, some hefty cutbacks, too. You'll often see tearing white lines in-between polygons - something we haven't seen since the PSone days. If you play from the bumper view you'll sometimes see, game review, entire polygons on the floor below you disappear as the camera slips just below the texture, particularly, game review, when you career into bumpy sand traps.
And during replays (which generally look quite nice) badly positioned, game review, camera angles see cars often drive through your point of view, resulting in a mess of disappearing polys. The game has some seriously unforgivably blurry textures too. The cars look amazing, but on occasion the curbs - something you come into direct contact with as you race - look like they're having a blur-off with an N64 game you can't help but notice. Despite all that, there are only four, game review, cars on the course.
Ridge, game, game review, review, Racer on PSP - a launch game we might add - looks better, moves smoothly, is fast as you like and has 12 cars on course. Motorstorm: Arctic, game review, Edge (review here) also looks brilliant, is packed with visual detail, has great physics and holds up solid with ten cars on course. That's just better., game review, As big fans of the series, we have to say, we're bitter, game review, . This is not what we expected from Kazunori's boys. They can do better than this.
They have done better than this on a home console with a fraction of the power (we're talking about the stunning Gran Turismo 2). Click Here and Download Gran Turismo 2009 For Free! Superb car handling is the only redeeming factor for GT PSP. It feels great to drive. But that driving needed to be packaged with an actual racing, game review, game and that game isn't here. It's just an endless grind of relatively easy, empty course driving, and a far cry from the "full-scale Gran Turismo experience" it was claimed to be.

The Sega Dreamcast's game discs are easily scratched, and users wish they could easily burn dreamcast game to protect their investment. As soon as the system came out, users were a bit frustrated with the media in which the games shipped on. Entitled GD-ROMs, they were basically an advanced CD capable of holding one gigabyte of data compared to a regular CDs capacity of, game review, 650 megabytes. So learning how to burn dreamcast game means a lot to dedicated gamers. In this, game review, article, you will learn how to burn, game review, dreamcast games in an easy way.

That is because there is encoded copy protection on the Dreamcast game disk that keeps, game review, your computer from being able to make sense of it. Luckily, now there is some specific burning software specially invented to comeover the build-in protection, game review, code in order to burn video games.

Borderlands Review
17,750,000 Different Guns. Literally.
I had incredibly high hopes for this game, I pre-ordered it about 6 months before it actually came out. The concept of combining my two, game review, favorite styles of gaming was very appealing to me, and luckily, this game did not let me down one bit.
The basic story of this game, game review, is you traveled to the planet of Pandora with 3 friends, game review, (for more info on the characters, visit the Borderlands website) in search of a vault filled with alien,, game review, game review, technology so you can become rich.
That is basically the entire plot line, you just adventure through the lands following, game review, a voice in your head that tells you who to kill and where to go to get closer to the vault. If you aren't familiar with the RPG genre, you start at level 1, and in this game the level cap is 50, so you can keep killing things and completing quests to gain experience to level up to 50. Every time you level up past, game review, level 5 you get a talent point that contributes to either your special ability, your shield, or your guns.
Right from the opening cut-scene I knew this game was, game review, going to be good, game, game review, review, . I played as Lilith, the Siren, and ran through the game in about 3 days with a total of 22 hours to complete every quest the game had to offer, coming across hundreds of the seemingly endless amounts, game review, of guns. After I beat the game I began my second play-through, where all of your enemies are larger and tougher, and in turn the loot is better as well.
I, game review, have to say that the game is nowhere near as incredible if you are playing by yourself though, you get less experience so the leveling goes slower, and the bosses are more difficult to defeat when you don't have your comrade close by to revive you when things go bad.
But regardless of whether you are playing it by yourself, or with 2 or 3 friends, this game is well worth the money.
With 17,750,000 (literally) guns, you're never grinding to find a specific weapon. The more you play, the better weapons you will find. Some weapons actually do some incredible,, game review, and unique stuff. Like a shotgun that shoots a wave as bullets, or a rocket launcher that shoots 3 rockets consecutively. You'll never find the exact same gun twice.
If you just head out on the main story line, I believe you could take this game out in, game review, about 10-15 hours playtime if you're power-housing through it with, game review, a friend or two.
I must say that the ending to this game is a little disappointing and the storyline is rather weak at parts, but when you're, game review, finding a new gun every, game review, 5 minutes and constantly upgrading your skills and abilities, the storyline is the last of your concerns, if just gives you a reason to, game review, go out and kill things.
I also ran across a few minor glitches in the game, mostly while driving the vehicle, but nothing big enough for me to desire to score this game lower.
The Scores (out of 10, 10 being the highest)
Playability: 9.5
This game is very easy to understand and control, whether you are an RPG veteran or completely new to the style. The FPS and critical strike (getting headshots) system work very well, and suit this game wonderfully.
Graphics: 9
A very unique style of graphics, and is VERY well done. I did not give it a 10 because sometimes the environment blends together when I feel like it isn't supposed to, (example:) giving the illusion that you can jump over something when you really cant.
Plot: 7
Without the epic ending I was anticipating, the game lacks a purpose. Also, I feel like as time goes on the plot matters less and less. The first few quest-givers you meet are real people that you feel like you're helping, but further down the road in the game it just becomes mindless killing (which, in this game is TONS of fun, so the plot was not a major factor for me). Moral of the story: Don't buy this game because you think the story is going to be great. (Buy it because you like getting head shots and owning psycho midgets)
Replay Value: 8.
5
This game does have a second play-through option which makes the loot, game review, better and the enemies bigger and with different names. However, it's still the same plot line, so it may struggle, game review, to grip your attention, game review,, game review, long enough to do it all again.
OVERALL SCORE
8.75
Although the plot won't quite reel you in, the immense amount of weapons, incredible co-op feature, and endless amounts of headshots and enemies to kill sure will.
I had incredibly high hopes for this game, I pre-ordered it about 6 months before it actually came out. The concept of combining my two, game review, favorite styles of gaming was very appealing to me, and luckily, this game did not let me down one bit.
