Judging by the lines at, game review, the movie theaters, there are only, game review, a handful of people who haven't seen James Cameron's Avatar the Movie. It promised to be a whole new level of graphic entertainment and it delivered. As with most new movie launches, tie-ins from fast food outlets, soft drinks, game review, and of course toys were produced pre-launch. Cameron primed the pump with the release of James Cameron's Avatar the Game about 3 weeks before the theater release of the movie.
Let me say first, the graphics in this game are outstanding. You can play it in regular mode or 3-D if you have the right monitor/TV. Unfortunately, I don't so my review is based on the 2-D game.
One of the first things you will discover is you have the ability to play as a human or a, game review, Navi. Each has its own advantages. The Navi is extremely hard to kill. So, game review, much so that many gamers are complaining. They have a disadvantage in travel. To complete the missions, it is necessary to travel to 11 different sectors on the planet of Pandora, game review, .
This takes a while if you are a Navi.
Playing the human gives you the advantage of using vehicles. You can get to the mission sites much faster. From there it's the usual game play of collecting, game review, arms and items vital to the mission.
I think the graphics of the game were fantastic. I'm glad I was able, game review, to play, game review, this game and would recommend it to anyone. The travel lets you experience, game review, different terrains, jungles, rivers and pretty cool plant life.
The, game review, attacks are explosive, be careful if you have a dynamic sound system, you'll wake the neighbors. This part of the game exceeded my expectations. I played the game for hours, just to play and explore Pandora.
Now the downside, I got bored. The missions are like so many other games and quickly became tedious. Especially when I played the Navi because it took so long to get places. As a human, I found it especially frustrating because the Navi's are so unevenly equipped with lifeforce.
I got tired of attacking, attacking and more attacking to proceed. These things just wont die.
The game itself is a mix of first person shooter and leveling up. It doesn't really, game review, matter how good you are as a shooter, you still have to complete missions to level up so it becomes rather frustrating after a while. This was supposed to be the future of gaming and it doesn't, game review, quite live up to the hype. That is unless you bought it with the intention of spending more time exploring Pandora on your own.
If that's it, the you'll probably love this game. At least for a while.
I was very excited when I heard about the movie. I was even more excited when I read the pre-release info about the game. It's really a great, game review, game from a graphics point of view and I recommend you try it, but I'm also glad I didn't fork over the big bucks to buy it. I got it on a 10 day free trial. Try it for yourself and see what you think. You may want to add it, game review, to your collection.

Gordon Ramsay and Hells Kitchen Game Reviews
While it seems like the dust has only just settled on the set of Hell’s Kitchen - Fox is cranking out Gordon Ramsay again next month, in season six of the hit television, game review, show. This series, I believe was filmed at the start of this year (and another shot straight after it) and will appear on US Television on July 21. This, by my calculations, makes it a Tuesday night instead of the normal Thursday, game review, night - I’m unsure of what this means in terms of ratings - but I’m sure the tabloids, game review, will report it as a decrease in Gordon Ramsay’s popularity!  First prize this year is a job at Araxi Restaurant in Whistler, British Columbia, Canada, a location that Gordon Ramsay said in interviews earlier this year that he wanted to open his own establishment.
This isn’t a new restuarant, it opened in 1981 and is already an established dining location at the base of Blackcomb and Whistler peaks. The job will commence, game review, in time for the 2010 Winter, game review, Olympics to be held in Canada and thus will increase their workload and exposure, under the supervision of Executive Chef James Walt.  This season will have the standard format of 16 competitiors,, game review, boys vs girls format,, game review, but we are told the initial signature dish competition will be a team challenge - a surefire way to provide even more, game review, fireworks amongst a group of competitive professionals who have just met and are trying to stand out!  The Red Team includes Amanda, a twenty seven year old Sous Chef who lives, game review, in New York, NY but is originally from Vancouver, WA and Ariel is also a 27 year old Sous Chef from Los Angeles, CA.
To keep with the tradition of having a few contestants with ‘unique names’ -twenty three year old Executive Children’s Camp Chef ‘Lovely’ from Chicago, IL will join twenty seven year old line cook Tek from New York, NY (originally Chicago, IL). Melinda is a thirty eight year old private chef from Philadelphia, PA, who’s hometown, game review, is nearby Chadd Fords. Texan Sabrina, the thirty four year old Restaurant Manager in Phoenix, AZ will work along side twenty four year old Suzanne who is a Sous Chef in Las Vegas, NV, quite different from her hometown in Milwaukee, WI.
The final member of the Red Team is Tennille, who is an executive chef, is 28 working in Fairfax,, game review, VA.  The boys team will feature thirty nine year old executive chef in Boston, MA - Andy who’s hometown is Seattle, WA as well as Dave from New Jersey, a thirty two year old Executive Chef currently working in San Diego, CA. Other Blue Team members include thirty, game review, four year old Jim, a sous chef residing in Nashua, NH and Joseph, the 27 year old sous chef from Massapequa Park, NY.
Kevin is a thirty-five year old executive chef originally, game review, from Plymouth, MA now residing in Middleton, CT and Louie, who owns a diner, game review, in Fitchburg, MA. Tony is the thrity, game review, year old Culinary Store Manager born and bred in Chicago, IL and Van is the twenty six year old fish chef, originally from Buford, GA now living in Dallas, TX.  So now you’ve, game review, met the teams, start speculating on who you think the winner will be (which will no doubt be reviewed after the first few episodes).
