Unreal Anthology Review

Most shooting gamers will know that this is a milestone game. I fell in love with the first Unreal when I played in 1999. I lost the disk and sure enough a few years ago I decided to buy this anthology. Totally worth it.

Unreal and Unreal Return to Na Pali: The first Unreal and the extension package for single player. As mentioned before this is a milestone in shooting games. The artificial intelligence is not the most impressive, but the scenarios and the music are really involving and they were state of the art when the game first came out. The weapons are pretty cool, although some of them come in the game just a little to late.
Maybe the game could seem a little too long and extenuating, especially towards the end where the levels may become somewhat tough without the fun. The extension package just adds a few more weapons, but other than that it's just some extra levels.

Unreal Tournament: This was really fun to play. The tournament not only consists of a series of death match against bots, but also other types of games such as "capture the flag" and others where you have to put in some team effort with your mates (also PC bots).

Unreal II: I was expecting more from this. Initially I didn't like the weapons, but as the game progresses you will get used to them and better ones will come in. Interesting graphics and environments.

Unreal Tournament 2004: Not bad. Similar to the previous tournament game, with newer weapons levels and games that require a little more strategy and not just "shoot it all".

In one sentence, if you like Unreal and shooting games in general: must have it!
