Due to the extreme popularity of free online games people of all age groups have become addicted to them because they offer variety, which can't be matched by expensive gaming consoles, this addiction goes well beyond teenage as we see young adults addicted to video games. The wide variety of free online flash and shockwave games available on net may be broadly classified into action and adventure games, card games, board games, strategy, funny, educational, simulation, etc. All types of online flash games and shockwave games have their own part of customers or niche, but the most popular and most played are the board games, which are basically online interpretations of certain conventional board games that include Chess, Monopoly, Dominoes and Literati as well as card games: poker, etc.
Free online games are thought out to be plain and simple games which an be finished in less than a few minutes before moving on to the next one; this is actually not true as we can see featured games which can take hours and even days to complete due to their level of difficulty, a good example is the "Prince of Persia" online game.
Prince of Persia has graphics which are similar to Super Mario for super Nintendo consoles which is very good considering how fast it loads. Just like Super Mario there are several traps along the path of the prince and he must explore an entire underground world before he accomplishes all of his tasks. The prince starts without a single weapon so the most important factor for players is to learn how to maneuver on this world because there are hidden spikes, guillotines, assassins, fake floors and metal doors which prevent you from reaching the end of the game.
Most games which are similar to Prince of Persia start at one point and it's pretty obvious the path we should take if we want to get to the end of it but with Prince of Persia you start at point A facing to the left side of the screen but you can actually go backwards and start playing to the right which leads the main character to secret passages where he must successfully overcome many deadly obstacles, since there are so many levels this game is guaranteed to keep you busy for at least 4 hours, and that's assuming you are really good at this kind of games. A good tip is to learn how to control the price before venturing across this underground maze otherwise you might end up frustrated, so learn how to play it and enjoy your spare time.
